School Closed Until 4/20/2020

Dear MS358Q Community,

As many as you have learned, school will be closed. The mayor announced that the earliest we will reopen will be Monday April 20th.

Teachers will be meeting to discuss how we can best support learning these upcoming weeks so there is no disruption in student growth.

Please stay close to your email for any further updates. More information to come.

Below you will find more information from the NYC department of education about our closing.

Please continue to stay positive, wash your hands and follow any guidelines set by our city leaders.

Parent Teacher Conference Update

Since time is already held on school and parent calendars this week for conferences, Parent Teacher Conferences proceed Thursday, March 12 as planned. But, instead of convening them in person, we are asking you to participate virtually or by phone.
 Someone from our school will proactively contact you about participating in the phone or virtual conferences. If you are unable to connect virtually or by phone during the 3/12 afternoon and evening conference times, we can reschedule for a time that would be convenient for you.
 To get ready for the Parent Teacher Conferences, families can access their child’s grades through the New York City Schools Account (NYCSA). If you don’t have an account yet, visit:

At that time, the Office of Student Enrollment will notify families by email and phone call that they can get their results from MySchools and in the mail. We understand that you may have questions or concerns and we will be able to support you with everything starting Tuesday March 19, 2019.

Participating in Round 2 is Optional: You should do this ONLY if they prefer a Round 2 program to your child’s Round 1 offer. If your child gets a Round two offer, it will replace their Round 1 offer. If they do not receive a Round 2 offer they will keep their Round 1 offer.
